Greens to Turnbull: we’ll believe infrastructure talk when we see action

The Turnbull government’s response to Infrastructure Australia’s Australian Infrastructure Plan is shaping up to be just another example of the PM talking big but delivering the same-old small-thinking Abbott policies, say the Greens.

“I’ll believe the government’s talk on infrastructure when I see the action,” said Senator Janet Rice, Greens spokesperson for Transport & Infrastructure.

"Victorians voted to dump the East West Link in favour of world class public transport, but all this announcement provides is more and more roads.

Janet Rice 9 Nov 2016

Australian Greens LGBTIQ spokesperson Senator Janet Rice has welcomed the Health Minister’s comments that the government is progressing the cause to get HIV prevention medication listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) so it’s accessible to everyone who needs it.

“The Therapeutic Goods Administration’s decision to licence HIV drug Truvada in May was an important step in the fight to end HIV transmission in Australia, but the high price tag remains a barrier to people who need it,” said Senator Rice.
